The first newsletter of the society was issued in the 4th of February 1997, the contents of which included specific main topics:
A message to the members: always written by the president of the Society.
Archaeological News: in which recent archaeological activities in and outside Egypt are briefly mentioned.
Miscellaneous News: about administrative changes in the archaeological organizations of Egypt such as in the archaeological missions, the departments of archaeology at universities of Egypt as well as any news worthy of notice concerning members of the Society.
Book News: dealing with recently published book(s) on archaeology and history.
These items are followed by the “Cultural Program” specifying all lectures, excursions and gatherings of the members.
